Physician Awareness Programme on Kidney
"Physician Awareness Programme on Kidney" organized by India Renal Foundation and Ahmedabad Family Physician Association (AFPA).
India Renal Foundation and AFPA organized an awareness programme for Physicians on Kidney. The programme was organized on 11th January 2006 at Ahmedabad Medical Association.
About 45 Family Physicians were presented in the programme. The objective of the programme was to prevent Kidney failure by early detection and treatment because kidney is an organ that doesn’t give any symptoms upto 60-70% of its failure. So, prevention is only the cure of Kidney failure.
Dr. Jagdip Shah, MD – Consultant Nephrologist, presented his thoughts and speech on the issue. Dr. Shah presented guiding tools, which may lead to kidney failure and basic rules of early detection and treatment.
India Renal Foundation, in association with, AFPA intended to reduce kidney failure occurrence by early detection and treatment so, that patients can be given more of healthy life and Dialysis and Transplant needs can be prevented for a long time.
In this way with the help and cooperation of all kidney failure occurrences can be reduced – added Dr. Jagdip Shah.
The programme was completed successfully and the entire participant Physicians appreciated the efforts made.

Annual Day Celebration

India Renal Foundation (IRF) completed two years of its noble activities on 15th Jan, 2004. To commemorate this, we had a Annual Day Celebration on 24th Jan, 2004.
The celebration was in two parts. First was the KIDNEY AWARENESS RALLY. People from all walks of life participated in the rally.
Our donor, well wishers, advisory committee members, patients also participated. The rally started from Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Ashram Road and went up to Gajjar Hall, Law Garden Ahmedabad. The rally culminated into a cultural programme presented by PRERNA members. Ms. Niketa Ghia presented a Bharatnatyam performance for 10 minutes. Then Shri Ajit Shah, Smt. Mina Shah, Shri Kalpesh Shah, Ms. Viraj Modi and Shri Prasanna Kanldekar presented a 10 minutes hilarious comedy drama. It was followed by film songs by Shri Dhawal Patel and Shri Darshan Patel. Shri Karsanbhai Patel, Chairman, Nirma Ltd., and Shri Kumarpal Desai, Educationist and Litterateur, had blessed the occasion by their presence. We thank our supporters for making this programme a great success.

Public Awareness Programme

India Renal Foundation had on Saturday, 24th April, 2004, organised a public programme with the support of Divya Bhaskar on the subject of “Prevention of kidney failure through control of diabetes and high blood pressure” between 5.30 to 7.30 pm at Thakorebhai Desai Hall, Law Garden, Ahmedabad. |
Leading doctors namely Dr. Lalit Shah, Nehprologist, Dr Vidya Acharya, Nephrologist, Dr. Harshad Gandhi, Cardiologist & Director of Apollo Hospital and Dr. Parag Shah, Diabetologist addressed the gathering. Shri P K Laheri, Chief Secretary, Govt of Gujarat and Shri Dhirubhai Shah, Former Speaker Gujarat Legislative Assembly are going to attend this programme as a chief guest and guest of honour respectively. There was a gathering of more than 500 people. It was a very informative programme for a lay man. |

Donor’s Day: Friday, 7th October 2005

The first Donor’s day programme was conducted at GICEA, Conference Hall (Law Garden) on Saturday, October 7th 2005. at 06/00 PM. This program was held with the support of all the donor members who had supported the organization in cash or kind.
The objective of this programme was to make our donor members aware of what the foundation has done in the last three and half years and what were its future plans.Our advisory members and major donor members were present on this occasion.
Foundation’s chairman Mr. Chinubhai R Shah presented the organization’s work to the august audience. He also presented the future plan of IRF in establishing a Dialysis Center with the support of the donor member, through which the patient can be benefited. The objective of this dialysis center is to provide service to the patient at low cost with best quality.
