Blood Donation Camp at Surat :

A blood donation camp was organized on 28/11/2008 with Surat Raktadaan Kendra at the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SGCCI). 80 bottles were collected during the camp. There was a scarcity of blood at Surat and our advisory members of Surat chapter took up a responsibility to help the society by organizing a blood donation camp. We thank our advisory members Shri Vikram Bhavsar, Smt. Nandita Arbatti, Shri Nilesh Mandlewala and Shri Rajendra Chokhawala.

Exhibition at Baroda :
We participated in an exhibition organized by National Convention of Quality Circle at community hall of IPCL from 8th Nov. to 10th Nov. More than 4000 people visited our stall. We distributed prevention cards during this exhibition. We are thankful to Quality Circle Forum of India for inviting us to participate.

Exhibition at Rajkot:
We participated in Vision 2008 from 21st Dec. to 31st Dec. at Racecourse circle, Rajkot. More than 5000 people visited our stall and they were given awareness through prevention cards. We are thankful Shri Mayur Kanabar for allotting us a free hall.

We celebrated our journey of 7 fulfilling years on 20/12/2008.

During these 7 years, foundation could do lots of philanthropic activities for the society at large with the kind support of noble citizens of Gujarat.

We always feel honored to have such kind and gracious people with us and it was time for us to felicitate all of them.

The programme was divided in 2 parts. In the first programme, at H. K. Commerce College, Auditorium, we felicitated all the volunteers who supported us in various activities of the foundation. That was followed by a programme by the great humorist, Shri Shahbuddin Rathod. He entertained audience by humorous incidents and stories. It was followed by light snacks.

A joint meeting of the advisory committee members from all chapters was held at the Ahmedabad Management Association’s (AMA) board room in the evening. Members from Ahmedabad, Baroda and Surat participated. Members discussed activities and gave some meaningful suggestions.

In the evening from 7:00 to 8:00, a public function was organized at AMA. Shri Harin Pathak , Member of Parliament was invited as a chief guest. We felicitated all donors, who gave us financial assistance and doctors, who donated their time and knowledge in our journey of seven years. We are grateful to all of them.

It was followed by a programme of ‘Bhavai’. IRF has been using ‘Bhavai’ as a media to spread awareness in society for last many years. Vote of thanks was given by our respected advisory committee member, Smt. Priti Adani.
